Union Dredgers and Marine Contracting has been awarded the marine contract for the Qurayyat Reverse Osmosis Desalination Plant in the Sultanate of Oman. The Main contract was awarded to Hyflux EPC and the plant is estimated to produce 200,000 m3 of water per day. Union Dredgers has already commenced mobilising equipment to the site ensuring on-time completion of the project. The Scope of the UDMC marine project works includes:

  • Dewatering
  • Supply and Installation of sheet Piling Works
  • Extrusion Welding of the HDPE Pipes.
  • Supply and Installation of Concrete Blocks
  • Onshore and Offshore Excavation for the Pipeline Trench
  • Installation and Commissioning of two 3.8km 2400mm Diameter  Intake Pipe Lines and two 3.8km 1800mm Diameter Outfall Pipelines
  • Supply and Installation of two intake structures with a diameter of 5000mm and a height of 15 metres.
